About the Potter
Based in Nashville, TN, I discovered my love for pottery by chance. What started as a whim to take a class with a friend turned into the passion of a lifetime. Six years later, I’m the proud owner of Khatya’s Ceramics, spending countless hours throwing clay (and maybe a little chaos) in my home studio while also teaching beginner pottery classes through Metro.
My work is filled with bright colors, playful stamps, and the things I love most: fruits, veggies, flowers, and cats. Every piece is created with the hope of bringing a little more joy, curiosity, and creativity into everyday life.
As I've gotten older, I've found myself returning to the things my 13-year-old self loved most – not with judgment, but with excitement. Khatya's Ceramics is an extension of that idea: a reminder that growing up doesn't mean leaving behind the things that make us smile. Instead, it's an invitation to embrace creativity, color, and a little whimsy.
Every piece is made start to finish by hand in my studio and thoughtfully designed to be both beautiful and practical. All of my work is food, dishwasher, oven, and microwave safe. Because of the handmade nature, no two pieces are exactly alike, and I see that individuality as part of their charm.
Whether it's a lemon travel cup, a strawberry mug, or a tiny flower magnet, I hope my work sparks small moments of connection. If someone smiles at your mug, asks where you found it, or strikes up a conversation that otherwise wouldn't have happened, then my ceramics have done exactly what they were made to do: turning ordinary moments into something special.
